World of Dinosaurs

This (the narrow black tube) is the exit that the miners would take in the event of an emergency. Taking 'one at a time' to a whole new level. Eek!

"I've got a big head and little arms!"

After a wonderful and mostly lazy Saturday, we packed up the family and drove about 20 minutes out into the country to a place called 'World of Dinosaurs'. Normally a sort of museum to show off the old mining equipment, they set up life-size plastic dinosaurs for folks to come and see. The compound is pretty big and set up on a hill, so once you reach the top you can see for quite a ways. Farmland to the left and the Autobahn to the right. Mix that with gorgeous fall weather and a sunset and it's the perfect recipe for picture lighting! Woo!
The huge machines reminded me of something off of a Sci-Fi movie and I could feel the beginnings of a story or two mulling over in my brain...
If you happen to be in the area I definitely recommend going!
